What does it look like to visit one of the companies that supports Google, Microsoft, and Amazon in managing their data online?
During ABC Silicon Valley 2025, our participants had the opportunity to do just that! We visited NetApp, a global leader in intelligent data infrastructure.
What is NetApp?
Founded in 1992 and headquartered in San Jose, California, NetApp specializes in cloud data services and data management solutions, helping organizations store, manage, and protect data anywhere in the world. What did we do at NetApp?
After checking in, we headed into a meeting room for an introduction to the company and its culture. Afterwards, Jeff Baxter, VP of Product Marketing, shared insights about the biggest challenges in AI-driven data storage. That talk definitely sparked curiosity and discussion among our participants! Next, the Talent Outreach Manager walked us through job opportunities and internships, giving us a glimpse of potential career paths at NetApp!
Highlight of the visit to NetApp? The tour of their headquarters! We explored their office spaces, meeting rooms, and event areas, and even got to chat with employees while enjoying breathtaking views of San Jose!
Conclusion
This visit to NetApp gave our participants firsthand experience of the tech world, showing how innovation in data management happens in real life. It also gave them the chance to ask questions, talk to experts, and get information they couldn’t otherwise access. Visiting with us next year?
