Can you introduce yourself? Tell us your name, where you’re from, and a bit about your background.
My name is Tine, I’m from Slovenia, and I study Economics. I really like business and want to pursue it in the future, so I thought this program would help me learn a lot, meet people, and test my English skills.
What motivated you to join the ABC Toronto program?
I wanted to improve my business skills, meet like-minded people, and gain confidence in networking and presenting. The program seemed like a great way to do all of that while learning in an international setting.
How has the program impacted you academically and personally?
At first, the city and culture were a bit of a shock, but I quickly adapted. I learned how to develop a business idea, pitch it, and talk to people professionally. The experience has been really beneficial for self-growth. I feel more prepared for the future, more confident speaking in public, and better at networking.
What was your favorite part of the program?
I really enjoyed visiting Spotify. The team there made me feel at home, and it was amazing to see how business works on another continent.
