Can you introduce yourself? Tell us your name, where you’re from, and a bit about your background.
My name is Siddhartha, but you can call me Sid. I’m from Hong Kong, originally from Nepal. I recently finished my undergraduate degree in civil engineering and worked as an engineer for a year.
Why did you decide to join ABC Toronto?
I wanted to transition into the business side of things. Since my background is in engineering, I was looking for a program that could introduce me to business and entrepreneurship from the ground up. ABC felt like the right place to start that journey.
What skills did you develop?
The most important skill for me was communication. Working with people from different countries meant we had different perspectives, but we still had to collaborate and build a business plan together. That experience really helped me become more open, adaptable, and better at teamwork.
What stood out to you the most?
The multicultural environment stood out the most. Toronto is an incredibly diverse city, and being surrounded by people from all over the world made the experience even more valuable.
It’s not just about learning business, but also about learning from different cultures, perspectives, and ways of thinking.
Would you recommend ABC Toronto?
I would definitely recommend this program, especially to people who want to move into business from a different field. It’s a great starting point because it takes you from the basics and helps you build up your ideas step by step. Plus, you meet great people and have an amazing experience overall.
