Can you introduce yourself? Tell us your name, where you’re from, and a bit about your background.
My name is Diana, I’m from Portugal, and I’m studying Engineering and Data Science at the University of Coimbra.
What sparked your interest in entrepreneurship?
I’ve always been curious about how technology can be used to solve real-world problems, and that’s what led me to this path.
I also became an ambassador for Académica Start UC, where I started getting more involved in entrepreneurship and innovation. I like doing things in a creative way and trying different approaches, not just the usual one.
What does your ambassador role involve?
I’ve helped organize events, especially around AI, and supported other students with their initiatives. It’s mostly been about teamwork, communication, and helping things come together.
That experience also made me think more about innovation and how people can work together to build something meaningful.
What did you take away from ABC Silicon Valley?
One of the biggest things for me was learning how to network. I didn’t really know how to do it before, but now I feel much more comfortable talking to people and connecting with them. I think that will be really useful in the future, especially when leading teams or organizing projects and events.
