Can you introduce yourself? Tell us your name, where you’re from, and a bit about your background.
My name is Gianluca, and I’m from Rome, Italy. I have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and I work as a software developer, mainly focused on frontend development. I’m also a project manager and a fractional CEO for a couple of early-stage startups.
What made you decide to join Silicon Valley?
My engineering background gave me a problem-solving and scalability mindset. So coming to Silicon Valley felt like a natural step for me, a place where technology and innovation are really at the center.
I saw it as an opportunity to go deeper into that environment and learn from it directly.
How has your background helped you at ABC Silicon Valley?
With my background, I was able to collaborate with a diverse group of people from different countries and different professional backgrounds.
It was interesting to work in a multilingual and multicultural environment and exchange different ways of thinking.
What stood out to you about ABC Silicon Valley?
What I appreciated most was meeting a lot of different people with different stories. There was a big mix of ages and backgrounds, but it was easy to connect with people and build relationships. I think those connections across Europe and beyond will be useful for my future projects.
