“I realized there’s no point in building something if you don’t know how to explain it.”

Can you introduce yourself? Tell us your name, where you’re from, and a bit about your background.
My name is Tomislav, and I’m from Osijek, Croatia. I’ve been working as a software developer and team lead for the past five years.
How does your technical background help you here?
Planning a development process is actually very similar to creating a business plan. You need to know what you’re trying to achieve, and also what you can and cannot do.
That’s where my background helps. I understand the technical side quite well, so I can approach things in a structured way.
What has your experience been like so far?
At the beginning, I wasn’t really sure if I was the right person to be here.
But after coming here, I realized I’ve been doing only half of the work. There’s no point in developing something if you don’t know how to tell people what you’re trying to achieve. That part is just as important.
What did you enjoy the most?
My favorite part is seeing how potential investors think. It’s interesting to understand what they look for and what I can do differently in the future to actually win them over.
