“ABC challenged me, helped me grow, and exceeded all the expectations I had before coming.”

Can you introduce yourself? Tell us your name, where you’re from, and a bit about your background.
My name is Vita, I’m from Slovenia, and I study Business and Economics.
What motivated you to join the ABC Toronto program?
I was motivated to join because the program felt challenging and interesting. My sister also recommended it to me, and when I looked at the topics and the schedule, I knew it was something I wanted to be part of.
How has the program met or exceeded your expectations, both academically and personally?
I came to the program with high expectations, but the experience exceeded them. Throughout the program, I learned a lot about business, startups, pitching, and how ideas are developed in practice. Beyond the academic side, the program also had a strong personal impact on me. Meeting people from different countries and learning about their backgrounds helped me grow not only as a student, but also as a person, which made the experience even more meaningful.
What did you enjoy most about the guest speakers?
The guest speakers were really interesting because they gave us insight into what they actually do. We heard from people with very different backgrounds, from NASA to the casino industry. That variety made the experience even more exciting.
Would you recommend ABC to others?
I would recommend this program to anyone who is interested in business, but even if someone isn’t, it’s still great for networking and meeting new people. If someone is thinking about applying, I’d tell them not to overthink it and just apply. It’s definitely worth it and will be one of the best experiences of their life.
