“At ABC, I discovered how creativity and business can work together — it really opened a new perspective for me.”

Can you introduce yourself? Tell us your name, where you’re from, and a bit about your background.
Hi, I’m Lena, I’m from Croatia, and I’m studying Law at the University of Split.
You’re currently studying law. What drew you to ABC Silicon Valley and the world of innovation and entrepreneurship?
Since law isn’t a very creative field, I wanted to explore something that would allow me to use my creative side as well. That’s why ABC appealed to me; it combines creativity with business and innovation, which is something I’ve always been interested in.
You participated in the first edition of the ABC Business Plan Competition. What motivated you to take part, and how challenging was it?
I found out about the competition through my friend Nika, who invited me to join her. Because I’m more of a creative person, I focused on coming up with the idea, while she handled the more business-oriented aspects, as she has more experience in that area.
Our idea was an AI stylist, so for me, the hardest part wasn’t coming up with the concept but developing it further and making it realistic. The process was challenging but also really fun and inspiring.
What was your favorite thing about ABC Silicon Valley?
My favorite part was definitely the guest speakers. We got to hear from people of different nationalities and backgrounds, all working in different industries. Even in such a short time, I learned so much from their experiences and perspectives.
